Bodyweight Movements
Do you find yourself saying, "I wish I had a home gym?" You, do! And when you join in on our bodyweight movement classes, you'll be using just your bodyweight to get a good workout. These classes are perfect for anyone who wants to jumpstart their general fitness levels.
A few of the many exercises performed may be:
Box jumps
Pushups
Squats
Lunges
Lateral leap and hop
Planks
Squat jumps
Etc.
With less equipment and no adjustments of weights, you can rapidly go through each exercise with little-to-no rest to amp up the calories burned each session.
Cardiovascular Workouts
Cardio will increase your heart rate, burn fat and focus on high caloric expenditure. Classes can revolve around bursts of cardio or include an intense session at the beginning or end of class.
Workouts can include rowing, cycling, elliptical or treadmill work, or it can be running in place, box jumping or other forms of cardio.
Core Workouts
A strong core is crucial for overall fitness. Core group classes may offer a Pilates styles workout where the entire focus is on your core. Often, core classes add other functional exercises into the mix to maximize core strength and muscle growth.
TRX
TRX offers a total-body workout with functional movements and numerous exercise options to choose from. Gravity and bodyweight are used in each TRX workout to work the core and build muscle.
A few of the great exercises you can do on a TRX machine are chest press, inverted rows, low row, single-arm row, curls, Y fly and so much more.
Kettlebells
Drop the dumbbells and pick up the kettlebells. Kettlebell workouts focus primarily on compound exercises to maximize your efficiency, work more muscles and burn more fat. There is a lot to cover with kettlebells, such as kettlebell:
Swings
Thrusters
Clean and press
Snatch
Pistol squat
Goblet squat
Farmer's walk
So many more
Kettlebell workouts are great for cardiovascular health, too.
Weight Training
High-intensity interval training (HIIT) and weight training go together perfectly to lose weight and build muscle. Engaging in full-body workouts offers the best in caloric expenditure, with a focus on compound exercises, such as:
Squats
Deadlifts
Lunge + bicep curl combo
Shoulder presses
Exercises on exercise balls
Rows
Etc.
Weight training helps break down your muscle fibers so that you build muscle and strength.
